Self-assessment can be

simplified with expert help

But you just don't have the time to deal with it - you are worried that your records are not up to date!

Don't worry, many sole operators don’t have the time to

undertake the work.

However, some do something positive and ask for help.

Many people I have helped start off by assuming they owe

HMRC money, because of the worrying letters they

receive. In many cases, I have been able to stop the worry,

and turn a potential fine into a refund that is actually due.

While this will not always be the case, I can certainly help

you deal with HMRC self- assessments so that you can be

confident that you will not be fined through inaction.

My service is tailor made to suit your needs:

This can range from:

The most straightforward - helping you fill in your self

assessment return online yourself by guiding you through

the process with hands-on help and tuition - once learned

you will be able to undertake the tasks yourself in future

years

In most cases - you may need advice on what you can

claim etc and some level of calculations may be required to

ensure you accurately record all your income and

outgoings.

This may require some additional support. I can

either help you with your own spreadsheets; design tailor-

made spreadsheets that will do all the calculations

automatically or advise you on commercial accounting

packages - what they cost and how to use them.

In a few cases - there may be some complex issues relating

to income or expenses and you may be unsure what the

rules are. In such circumstances, people might pay too

much tax because of not completing their forms correctly or

by not claiming the relevant allowances.

Finally, there will be cases where HMRC are owed money

and it is important to understand the position fully, act

quickly so that you can get the returns done on time and

manage any repayments due without breaking the bank
